Located in the beautiful depths of Allaire State Park in Wall Township, the trees will part and our village with it's hardworking villagers will come alive before your eyes. Whether it's touring our historical buildings, or helping a young lady cider press near the gardens...there is always something new to discover at the village. Meet our villagers and learn about their lives in 1836. Help them prepare traditional hearth cooked meals or simply marvel at their unusual speech.

The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum

The Arboretum trails pass kettle moraines, hilly slopes and a natural amphitheater created by glaciers. Our grounds host a variety of native New Jersey wildflower species and are home to over 40 species of trees, many species of birds and an array of ferns.

Dey Mansion

A superb example of Georgian style architecture, the Dey Mansion was General George Washington's Headquarters during the Revolutionary War in 1780. Today, the Mansion is filled with period antique furniture and conducts guided tours.

Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms

Craftsman Farms, located in and owned by the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, is the former home of noted turn-of-the-century designer Gustav Stickley, a major proponent of the "Arts and Crafts" home building and furnishing. The log house, built in 1911, is one of the most significant landmarks of the American Arts and Crafts movement, and the site, which consists of 26 acres of the original 650-acre tract, has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Craftsman Farms is also an Official Project of Save America's Treasures, a public-private partnership between the White House Millennium Council and the National Trust for Historic Preservation dedicated to the preservation of our nation's irreplaceable historic and cultural treasures for future generations.
