Not only is the museum the national repository for the artworks created by self-taught artists, the building's architecture is an artistic creation unto itself -winning many international and national awards for its design and beauty. Our venue is easily accessible by foot (a 15 minute walk from the Convention Center) or by water transport (Water Taxi or Harbor Shuttle) and convenient to all of Baltimore's downtown attractions.

The admission entitles visitors to explore the main Museum and adjacent Gallery and receive a guided tour of the airplanes in the flight line at Strawberry Point. On certain days the Restoration Gallery is also available to visitors over 18 years old.

The Natural History Society of Maryland (NHSM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 1929. Its extensive collections of Maryland flora, fauna, fossils, and minerals, dating back to the early 1800’s, are a rare and valuable asset to the State of Maryland. Many of the items that were on display in the Natural History Museum in Druid Hill Park from 1936 to the early 1970’s are still in our collection.

The Washington Monument is the Nation's first civic memorial to George Washington. Built in the neo-classical style, the 178'8" monument was designed by architect Robert Mills and was completed in 1829, fourteen years after construction began. Mills also designed our more famous sister monument in Washington, D.C. The Monument held a profound meaning for 19th Century Americans and it is even now recognized as the preeminent symbol of the city of Baltimore. It is because of the Monument that Baltimore earned the nickname "The Monumental City."

Geppi's Entertainment Museum (GEM) is a journey through 250 years of American pop culture, located in historic Camden Station at Camden Yards in Baltimore Maryland, just a few blocks from the city's famed Inner Harbor. Where else can you revisit your childhood and get back in touch with old friends that entertained you in the past through comic strips and books, radio and television shows, films, cartoons, and so much more? The museum exhibits nearly 6,000 pop culture artifacts including comics, toys, dolls, games and memorabilia of every conceivable category. Schneider, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Maryland, and Philip Sherman, Chair of the MSBA Senior Lawyers Section, the museum is filled with historical artifacts of Baltimore’s Bench and Bar. Managed by the nonprofit Baltimore Courthouse and Law Museum Foundation, Inc., the museum features a self-guided walk-through tour.
