Description

Interpretive and strategic planning, facility growth planning, project management and implementation, staff and board training, and governance enhancement are among the services provided by Springuel Consulting. With more than 25 years experience in museum planning, management, exhibitions, education, and staff training, we help new and existing museums, cultural institutions, public art programs, non-profits, art organizations, environmental institutions and boards. We work with boards to review the organization’s mission, develop strategic plans, and enhance governance. We work with staff to develop plans for exhibitions, public programs, and business ventures.

Springuel Consulting’s President, Myriam Springuel is a member of The Museum Group, an association of independent museum professionals who have held executive positions at major museums in the United States and Canada. She is a frequent presenter at conferences and has lectured internationally. She has published in museum journals and newsletters. She has served as a grant reviewer and on national advisory committees, as well as on the various boards of professional organizations.

The team at Springuel Consulting brings your organization experience in all aspects of museum development; we collaborate with other nationally recognized firms as appropriate for your project.

Myriam Springuel’s substantial experience in museums provides appreciation for the needs of even the smallest facility, as well as understanding the requirements of the largest. Her background produces flexibility in the planning process, combining concern for the educational, curatorial and public functions of museums with the need for professional staff development, collection care, conservation, and research.
