Danbury Museum includes the Rider House (785), Dodd Hat Shop (1790), One Room Schoolhouse, and the Marian Anderson Music Studio.

Guided Tours are Saturdays only

Join us for a fascinating trip through the historic buildings on campus that help to tell the history of Danbury. Huntington Hall also hosts a variety of exhibits and activities. A donation is requested. Come down and see all that the Museum has to offer!

The grounds and historic buildings of the Danbury Museum can provide a perfect setting for your next event, be it a wedding, baby or wedding shower, family reunion, or business meeting. Huntington Hall, the Rider House, Marian Anderson Studio and the museum gardens could be the perfect setting for your next function!

Museum Archives

Individuals interested in securing research services or scheduling a visit to conduct research themselves are asked to make an appointment. Our research specialist and staff must be present during your visit to facilitate and pull appropriate materials for viewing.

Mission

The Danbury Museum acquires, preserves, exhibits, and interprets Danbury's past.

History

The Museum began in 1941 as the Scott-Fanton Museum, and today includes the Danbury Museum & Historical Society.
