Description

The MonDak Heritage Center is the MonDak region's premier museum and art gallery, with the largest available exhibit space of any such combined facility in the region. Our mission is to preserve the region's cultural heritage and support its artistic development through traditional museum exhibits and art shows as well as through special programming. Please feel free to browse our website to get a sense of what we have to offer

Generally there is one featured exhibit in our Center Gallery and one or more smaller shows on the walls of the Outer Gallery. Check out our calendar and Annual Events to see what shows we will be hosting next. If nothing is listed, there will be a display from our permanent art collection.

Rentals

Our facility may be perfect for your next special event, including weddings, receptions, meetings, luncheons, parties and more. If you are interested in renting our space (depending on the purpose, it may be free!), please contact us at (406) 433-3500.

How can I help?

Anyone can contribute gifts of any size which will support the work of the MonDak Heritage Center. You can also provide support in several other ways: by becoming a member, donating items or cash gifts, honoring or memorializing someone with a cash gift, contributing toward the purchase of equipment or materials, donate time as a volunteer, or contribute to the MonDak Heritage Center's Endowment Fund.

Artifact Collections

The MDHC houses the MonDak Pioneer Town, Lillian Anderson Jensen History Library, Genealogy Library, Charlotte Rees Gabisch Art Library, a permanent art collection, large regional photo archive, an ever-growing collection of Heritage Cards for genealogical research, a dinosaur and fossil collection, and public meeting rooms
