A museum of international puppet history with over 1200 items in the collection. Particular strengths in Pacific Rim and Asian puppets.
We have limited staff and have only organized 2 exhibits within the State of Washington. We also do small exhibits for local Regional Library system.
Contact the Curator if interested in a possible loan exhibit. Secure locked cases and humidity control required. Contract would include curator transportation and installation.
The Aurora Valentinetti Puppet Museum offers tours and workshops for preschoolers, school-age children, and adults. Schools, childcare centers, youth groups, scouts, individual families, businesses and others frequently enjoy personalized tours conducted by educational professionals or the museum's curator. Tours are $3.00 per person.
Children’s puppet making workshops are custom designed for your group’s interests and ability level. Most workshops are about 90 minutes in length and are appropriate for groups of 5-15 students. Workshops are $5.00 per person. Workshops can be arranged by contacting Mary at 360 373 2992.
We are now offering to 1st and 2nd grade classrooms a one hour presentation in the Bremerton area. Our professional staff will come to your classroom and provide information about puppets, story, puppet show, ideas on making & using your own puppets for $2.00 per student with a maximum of 25 students.

We have Folkmanis, Sunny, Melissa and Doug, Puppettos, Peepers, and other unique brands of puppets. Our selection of books will enhance your puppet shows. French designed Moulin Roty and German designed Sterntaler puppets for young children will be arriving soon. These are washable and lovable. Come in and enjoy our Children's Play Area with puppets, books, musical instruments plus two puppet theatres for performing your great shows. We also have a monthly "make & take it" puppet for the children to create and take home.

The Aurora Valentinetti Puppet Museum opened October 1999. Its parent organization, Evergreen Children's Theatre was founded in 1993. Our mission is to provide community access to educational experiences of theatre arts and a museum of puppet history. The medium of puppetry provides an ideal way of learning about and experiencing world wide cultural diversity.
Collection holdings (currently ca. 1000 [2009]) include: hand & glove puppets, rod & shadow, marionette, finger, ventriloquist dummys, stages, stage drops, props & furniture, toy stage drops.
Countries with significant holdings are USA, China, Indonesia, India, Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, England, Germany.
The Museum has a small curatorial research library which is not open to the public.
