We are in startup facilities at present, working to obtain a permanent location to create an interactive museum and history center in our historic downtown.

History

We began as a grassroots interest group on September 10, 2003, and received our provisional charter, granted by the New York State Board of Regents, on April 20, 2004.

Artifact Collections

Artifacts, photos, archival materials, and digital materials on the rich immigrant and industrial heritage of our city as an Erie Canal and Niagara River community in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Educational Programs

History walks, history nights & events, and lectures. We offer volunteer service, community service, internships, and learning service for teachers & youth groups dealing with projects based on city's history. We also have an oral history program using students to interview senior citizens in its beginning stages.
