We are looking toward "New Horizons" as we embark upon the planning for the 2023 Annual Conference
This year's Annual Conference will occur in early June in an effort to get ahead of the Texas heat! Additionally, in an effort to respect our members' desires for a shorter conference, we will provide optional tours and workshops on Monday, June 5th, followed by three session-packed, inspirational conference days Tuesday, June 6th - Thursday, June 8th.
This year's conference will not be available virtually, we will return to offering in-person only in an effort to streamline Association resources and planning
As our nation continues to struggle with polarizing issues and an unstable economy affecting all of us in different ways, the American Public Gardens Association remains focused on how to keep our public horticulture industry resilient and thriving amid such political turmoil. Supporting all of our Member gardens equitably is what we do at the Association no matter where our Members are located across the country or the globe, regardless of the policies and laws of that state or region.
We remain committed to hosting the 2023 Annual Conference in Ft. Worth and Dallas, Texas, with hundreds of our Member gardens as we highlight and celebrate the wonderful public gardens throughout the state.

The largest in person library event in the world and largest book event in North America, ALA Annual is not to be missed.

THE ANCA ANNUAL SUMMIT provides the unique experience of connecting with other nature and environmental learning center administrators in person. There is no better way to discuss and share your questions, challenges, and lessons learned than directly with your peers at this empowering event. AASLH2023: “I, Too, Am America
The 2023 conference theme “I, too, am America” is inspired by Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes’s 1926 poem “I, Too” where he stakes his claim on the evolving promise of an inclusive nation by stating “I, too, am America.” His demand tests the promise of the preamble. His poem demonstrates that, despite the country’s segregated society and exclusion of Blacks from the American identity, as a Black man, Hughes was also an American. The 2023 AASLH Annual Conference theme draws on the broadening concept of American identity that is found in Making History At 250: The Field Guide for the Semiquincentennial
Our 2023 conference is a call for an engaging examination of identity through creativity, innovation, and compelling discussion. From women’s suffrage in 1896 to the Native American struggle for civil and human rights to the preservation and interpretation of Japanese internment camps to the ever-evolving demographics, Idaho reflects the ongoing discussion of American identity. Join us in Boise as we gather and explore our collective identity.

For a $300 registration fee, exhibitors will receive one table space in our exhibitor's area, a full conference registration for one attendee (including meals), and inclusion in SCFM web and social media promotion for conference. For each additional booth representative (up to 3 total), pricing increases the amount equivalent to a full conference registration
