The story of T. B. Ferguson T. B. Ferguson was born in 1857 near Des Moines, Iowa. Although he was trained to be a teacher and a Methodist minister, Ferguson began writing occasional articles for a local newspaper and became interested in journalism. After the 1892 land run, Ferguson brought his family to Watonga, Oklahoma where he established the Watonga Republican. He remained the publisher of this newspaper until his death in 1921. Ferguson was appointed territorial governor in 1901 by President Theodore Roosevelt.

With a mission to preserve Oklahoma’s aerospace history and to inspire science-based learning through discovery, the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium (TASM) has carved out a unique niche in the Oklahoma museum community. TASM has been exposing students to real-world applications of STEM for over 15 years.
Education is provided in a stimulating environment that includes inspirational stories of aerospace pioneers and events, unique and priceless aircraft, computer flight simulators, cockpit trainers, demonstrations, and simulated space voyage experiences.

The Talbot Library and Museum specializes in historical and genealogical research material of Northeast Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas, and Cherokee Territory. The facility also publishes a quarterly “T.L. & M. Genealogy” and is home to the “Goingsnake Messenger” quarterly. The Library & Museum operates solely on contributions and sales of Book Store and gift shop items. Its goal is to “Preserve a Bit of History”.
