The Ashland County Historical Society is located in the heart of the Center Street Historical District of Ashland, Ohio. Its campus consists of three houses. The Manor House was the first purchased. It was built by J.P. Cowan in 1859 and sold to P.A. Myers in 1906 to be given to his son Guy and his new bride Kate as a wedding present. It was likely the first brick structure on the street.

Armstrong Air & Space Museum

Named in honor of the accomplishments of Neil Armstrong, first man to set foot on the moon, this museum in Wapakoneta chronicles Ohio's contributions to the history of space flight. Among the items on display are the F5D Sky Lancer, the Gemini VIII spacecraft, Apollo 11 artifacts and a moon rock. In the museum's Astro-theater, multimedia presentations of the sights and sounds of space unfold against a starry background.

Ashtabula Maritime Museum

The Ashtabula Maritime & Surface Transportation Museum is housed in the original Ashtabula Lighthouse Keeper’s House later the house that the U.S. Coast Guard Chief and his family lived in. This house was originally built for the Lightkeeper's family in 1871. An addition was built for the Assistant Keeper’s family to live in 1898, making the house a duplex. In 1991-1992 a $31,000 addition of approximately 40’ X 50’ was built onto the rear of the original 1871 Light Keeper’s home.
