Camp White Military Museum
White City, Oregon

The Camp White training site consisted of buildings and an area stretching to the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. A few miles from the camp were Upper and Lower Table Rocks, flat rock formations hundreds of feet high, and Mt. McGlaughlin which looked like an inverted ice cream cone. In addition to the 300th, Camp White was the training site for their sister battalion, the 299th Combat Engineers.

Harney County Historical Museum

Pioneer period room displays, wagons, guns, period clothing, archaeological exhibits, diorama of local bird species and wildlife collections.

Jordan Schnitzer Museum Of Art

One of six museums in the state of Oregon accredited by the American Association of Museums, the University of Oregon’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) a premier Pacific Northwest visual arts center, features engaging exhibitions, significant collections of historic and contemporary art, and exciting educational programs that support the university’s academic mission and the diverse interests of its off-campus communities. The JSMA’s collections galleries present selections from its extensive holdings of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian icons, and American art. Special exhibitions galleries display works from the collection and on loan, representing many cultures of the world, past and present.

Philip Foster Farm

Philip Foster was one of Oregon's earliest settlers, arriving with his family by ship via Cape Horn and the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) in 1843. He played an important part in Oregon's early history, serving as the first Treasurer of the Provisional Government in 1844 and 1845. Foster was also an entrepreneur, partnering with Sam Barlow in constructing the Barlow Road in 1846, operating a store in Oregon City, and founding a flourmill and cattle company with Dr. John McLoughlin, known as the "Father of Oregon."

Coos County Fairgrounds Museum

The Fairgrounds Museum maximizes hands on and live experiences. Most display materials stay in the ownership of the museum, individual or organization which provides them. Live music, video and spoken presentations encourage audience participation. A 1,000 sq foot model railway entertains as well as celebrates the logging and commercial heritage of the region. Large format photography encourages group discussions about the way it was.

Jefferson County Historical Society Museum
Madras, Oregon

The Jefferson County Historical Museum, located for many years in the upper floor of the historic old County Courthouse in downtown Madras, was established in the 1970s. Since 2012, it has been “in storage,” waiting for a new home in the Westside Community Center. The Museum’s collection is crammed with historically significant objects, artifacts, records, photographs, and archival materials. Each item tells its own distinctive part of the story of Jefferson County from Indian times to the homestead and railroad-boom era, through the Great Depression and drought to the advent of irrigation, dam construction, light industry, and tourism.

Oregon Jewish Museum

The Oregon Jewish Museum's mission is dedicated to the preservation, research and exhibition of art, archival materials and artifacts of the Jewish people. It is the repository for archival documents, artifacts and photographs concerning the history of the Jews in Oregon and endeavors to discover and collect all materials that may help to illuminate this history.
