The South Howard County Historical Society is an organization that is striving to preserve the history of the area. The Society meets regularly and holds quarterly talks and discussions. It also seeks to preserve materials related to the area of South Howard County, Missouri.

Located on Main Street in the downtown Historic District, this building features a several historic exhibits, a library, annd is home to the volunteers who research and maintain the history of the county.The St. Charles County Historical Society is a non-profit 501(C)3 corporation founded in 1956 and incorporated in 1958. It is dedicated to the preservation of documents and artifacts related to our county history. The Society encourages interest in the rich history of the county.

Our 2024 WVAM Conference will be held at Shepherd Universit
in Shepherdstown, WV on June 6-8, 2024
WVAM conference is a program of papers, presentations, workshops, and poster sessions addressing our theme of “America at 250: West Virginia Plans for the Semiquincentennial.”
We’ll kick off the event with a virtual day on Wednesday, July 24, hosted in collaboration with the Association of Midwest Museums (AMM). Then, we’ll gather in-person at the Hilton Columbus at Easton from July 31-August 3 for sessions, networking, and museum exploration. The SCFM Annual Conference is a time where we can celebrate the impact that museums have made on the state of South Carolina. It’s a time where we can share our successes, learn from our challenges, and grow as museum professionals.
We look forward to this year's conference September 16-18, 2024 in Laurens, SC. This year's theme is Fostering Community: There is No Museum Without "Us."
