The World War II Victory Museum was established in 1999 through the generosity of its founders, the Dean V. Kruse family of Auburn, IN. The World War II Victory Museum contains one of the world's most impressive collections of artifacts from the Second World War.

The collection includes approximately 150 vehicles and hundreds of uniforms, weapons and smaller artifacts. The majority of this collection comes from the former Victory Memorial Museum that was located in Messancy, Belgium.

The Ropkey Armor Museum has moved to a new location 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis, IN. It is now in Crawfordsville, IN, which is is scenic Montgomery County.

The Ropkey Armor Museum has one of the largest and finest comprehensive collections of American armored and soft skinned tactical vehicles. The collection in housed in 3 newly constructed buildings, two of which are heated and airconditioned.

Ernie Pyle State Historic Site

The Ernie Pyle State Historic Site consists of a Visitor Center and a Historic House. The Visitor Center exhibits feature life-size scenes based on Ernie Pyle's writings and experiences as a World War II correspondent. The exhibits include state-of-the-art audio and video stations and contain authentic World War II uniforms, weapons, and gear, including a 1944 Willys jeep. The Historic House from the farm where Pyle was born is furnished as an early 1900s rural Indiana farmhouse.

The Indiana Military Museum (IMM) exists to serve the citizens of the community, the state, and the nation with educational programming, archives, displays, and opportunities for intense research related to America?s military history from the American Revolution to the present day. The museum is dedicated to fostering the memory, understanding, and appreciation of U.S. military history. The museum contains one of the best overall collections of military memorabilia in both the Midwest and the United States and has a vast array of unique artifacts, including military vehicles, artillery, weaponry, uniforms, insignia, artwork, textual resources, music, equipment and other related artifacts from the Revolutionary War to the present day.

Listed by the American Automobile Association as a 'GEM Site,' we offer interesting, educational displays 5 days a week, along with special events such as our annual Civil War Weekend in June, and Old Car Show in July. Special theme displays, guest speakers, and more are routinely scheduled.

Formerly the WWII Victory Museum, the National Military History Center contains one of the largest, most captivating collections of WWII artifacts ever assembled. Our mission is to emphasize preservation, education and inspiration by spotlighting the personalities, technologies and conflicts that have defined America’s military from the Revolutionary War through today. The National Military History Center is also home to the Kruse Automotive & Carriage Museum, the NE Indiana Racing Museum, and the NE Indiana Baseball Association and Hall of Fame. The NMHC is currently working on efforts to expand with new galleries dedicated to Young America’s military, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, and today’s War on Terror.
