The University of Nebraska Press publishes books on a wide range of subjects. The press has a strong Native American list and is expanding to publish books on indigenous peoples of other countries. History is another main focus, with the press publishing books on the American west, Latin America, military history, including the civil war, WWI and WWII, Judaic history, and European history. The press also publishes sports books, having an extensive list of baseball titles, as well as books on basketball, football, golf, and other sports. The press also has an excellent list of humanities titles, including Cather studies, narrative theory, literary criticism, nineteenth century women writers, and translations. The press publishes paperback reprints in all of the mentioned categories, as well as classic science fiction, under their imprint Bison Books.
