We continue to capture the past for present and future generations through photos, artifacts and documents. We want to continue with oral and family histories, as well as the history of the surrounding communities of Brinnon, Coyle, Dabob, Lake Leland and Discovery Bay.
The QUILCENE HISTORICAL MUSEUM is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated in 1991. Its mission is to: preserve, display and explain the history of the Quilcene area; promote the preservation, awareness and understanding of history for present and future generations; to collect, preserve and make available items of historical content.
Artifacts, documents and photos of logging, farming, schools, early stores and businesses, home and hearth, industry, kitchen, toys, millinery, military, toys, barn, mining and pioneer families.
Vertical files, notebooks, albums, manuscript boxes of photos, documents and articles of local history, people, events, clubs and organizations.
School group visitations; docent training; senior citizen visitations; school alumni presentations.
