THE PREMIER HOTEL IN ALFALFA COUNTY, THE HOTEL CHEROKEE WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1929 TO SERVE TRAVELERS AND BUSINESSMEN. AT FOUR STORIES, IT REMAINS THE LARGEST BUILDING IN THE COUNTY. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 3/5/98. THE LOCATION CURRENTLY HOUSES ALFALFA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND FOUR STORIES OF FACADE/MODEST BRICK WORK CORNICE.
