Description

Tucker Tower is an icon for southern Oklahoma. Overlooking beautiful Lake Murray, it is well worth a visit.

An unusual feature on Lake Murray is Tucker Tower, which is located prominently on the south shore of the lake and is roughly shaped like a truncated obelisk. The tower was a former summer retreat of Governor Murray that was built by the Works Progress Administration. The retreat is now a nature center, featuring many displays of area wildlife throughout the center.
