The Eskridge Hotel is owned and operated by the Wynnewood Historical Society, which was organized in October, 1973. The society has been incorporated as a non-profit organization, and has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt entity. The first officers of the organization were Chairman, Mike Grissom; Secretary, Jeanne Dark; Treasurer, Betty Carter; Publicity Chairman, Leona Holland, and Program Chairman, Lewis L. Shirley.
The Wynnewood Historical Society's goals are to preserve the knowledge of Wynnewood's history and to maintain the Eskridge Hotel. The organization strives to preserve and exhibit items, in the hotel, typical of those used by the settlers of Wynnewood in the early 1900's.
