TAG is a visual art community organization run by a board of directors committed to promoting the visual arts and artists of the region and to enhancing the downtown Warren area. A two-week children's program, Summerfest, with grand finale parade around Warren's Courthouse Square has been held each summer since TAG moved to its new home. A gift shop featuring the work of hundreds of area artists provides an outlet for artwork and fine crafts. Seven to ten gallery exhibits are held yearly including the TAG Annual Juried Exhibition (2006 marked the 42nd Annual). Trumbull Art Gallery will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2007.
Trumbull Art Gallery (originally Trumbull Art Guild) was organized as a non-profit corporation in 1957 by a group of dedicated people interested in the promotion of the visual arts and artists in our community. From 1969 through 2002 TAG occupied the historic Gillmer House on Mahoning Ave. In December 2003, TAG opened its doors in the Robins Theatre building on East Market St. in Warren.
Gallery exhibits and tours with occasional gallery talks (free), quarterly schedules of art classes for children and adults (fees apply).
