The Beaches Area Historical Society chronicles the history and culture of the beaches communities of the First Coast through its historic structures, research facilities, permanent exhibition, and educational programs.
... to nurture civic pride for the distinct history of the Beaches Area, while providing education, information and entertainment for those who live, work and vacation in our communities.
The Society was founded in 1978 by a group of residents of the First Coast to document, preserved, acquired and catalogued the history of Ponte Vedra, Palm Valley, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach and Mayport.
The Museum and the historic houses are wheelchair accessible
