Collect and preserve artifacts, objects, publications, documents, photographs and other items related to Peekskill's History from earliest settlement to the present Maintenance of a research collection of past and current literature on Peekskill's history. Preserve and maintain the Herrick House as an example of 19th Century domestic architecture.
The Herrick House is now the Peekskill Museum. Dwight Stiles Herrick had this famous Victorian home built. The city historian office is housed in the museum.
