The UNI Museum is comprised of the University Museum (a museum of nature and culture) and the Marshall Center School (a restored historic one-room schoolhouse). They are administered by the Department of Museums & Collections at the University of Northern Iowa, within the Rod Library.
With an international collection of over 75,000 items, this natural history museum opens a "window on the world"---from shells to mastodon bones, African antelope to Peruvian textiles.
The Department also serves in an advisory role to academic departments for teaching collections across campus.
Mon-Fri: 9-4:30, Sat & Sun: 1-4
The Museum is open all hours that Rod Library is open; staff are available for questions from 7:30am - 5pm weekdays.
