Founded in 1988, the International Wildlife Museum has over 400 kinds of insects, mammals and birds from all over the globe. Some of the collections are more than 100 years old and all the species found at the museum were donated by various government agencies, wildlife rehabilitation centers, captive breeding programs, zoos and individuals. Dioramas depicting wild animals in their natural settings, videos, and hands-on exhibits provide fun and educational experiences for all ages. Your visit is an excellent opportunity to see animals up close and gain a better understanding of their size and adaptive characteristics.

Mission

The International Wildlife Museum is dedicated to increasing knowledge of and appreciation for the diverse wildlife of the world, as well as explaining the role of wildlife management in conservation.

Artifact Collections

Over 400 species of insects, birds and mammals from around the world.

Educational Programs

Guided and self-guided tours are available at group rates. Guided tours are led by members of the museum staff. Self-guided tour materials are available on our website.

Outreach programs feature touchable wildlife items and live animals. These one hour programs focus on a topic of your choosing at your site. Please visit our website for more information on topics and prices.

Birthday Parties

ebrate your child’s birthday in wild style at the International Wildlife Museum! Parties are available for children ages 4-12 and offered on most Saturdays and Sundays from: 11am–1pm or 2–4pm.

Facilities/Rental

The Museum is located in the beautiful Sonoran desert overlooking the city of Tucson and provides a unique and serene atmosphere for private parties, receptions or business meetings

The Wildlife Theater, located adjacent to the Oasis Grille restaurant, seats 98 and is available for meetings, films and lectures. It is equipped with an overhead projector system for computers, VHS, and DVDs.

The dining area, located on the main floor of the Museum, features a Saltillo tiled floor and colorful tables and chairs that set a festive mood for any gathering. With existing tables and chairs, this area comfortably accommodates 80 guests.
