MOCHA provides hands-on arts learning experiences for children and their families in our museum, in schools and preschools, and in public venues. MOCHA also prepares educators to teach art and integrate arts learning across academic subject areas. As well, we advocate for the arts as an essential part of a strong, vital and diverse community. We emphasize outreach to children in low-income communities that do not typically have wide access to the arts.
At MOCHA, museum means hands-on and interactive—sometimes even messy (don’t worry, we provide plenty of smocks)! Our programs help children grow intellectually, emotionally and socially through creative, open-ended exploration.

MOCHA's studios and gallery offer a unique, fun and funky environment for a party, meeting or other special event. We can host groups of up to 100, and have smaller spaces for more intimate gatherings. Want to encourage collaboration, spur creative thinking or just have some good, old-fashioned, hands-in-the-fingerpaint fun? Have a MOCHA Teaching Artist lead an activity!
MOCHA's Big Studio and gallery are available for rental after 3 p.m. on weekdays, after 4 p.m. on weekends, and all day Mondays. Price varies, depending on the size of your group and the type of event. Call or email for more information.
