The Museum features displays of Arizona rocks, minerals, and paleontology specimens. A collection of minerals from around the world, with a special emphasis on Australian minerals complements our material from Arizona.
Created and maintained by the Pinal Gem and Mineral Society under the guidance of geologist Dr. Ray Grant, the museum tells the story of the Earth, with a focus on Arizona by with a worldwide scope, through displays and activities relating to geology, paleontology, and mineralogy.
For our younger visitors, we have several activities available, including a treasure hunt, fossil dig, and mineral dig. A small gift shop provides minerals and fossils to take home. We also have a small browsing library available to visitors, though items must remain in the Museum.
