If you're looking for a great adventure...it starts at Camp William B. Snyder!!! The 350-acre Camp William B. Snyder, located in Haymarket, Virginia is the latest and greatest camping experience offered by the National Capital Area Council and the Boy Scouts of America. Camp Snyder, now operating in our 3rd year serves as a multi-functional camp that can meet the needs of Packs, Troops, Venture Crews, Varsity Teams, and other outside organizations looking to develop a partnership or quality outdoor experience.

Camp William B. Snyder has several themed program areas which feature a Western Fort, the Big Dig Archaeological Site, Native American Village and Sailing Ship. All are available to help you create an unforgettable party or special event. We also have several covered pavilions, including an open-air chapel, to be used in creative ways to serve your needs.

Camp Snyder offers over 300 acres of forest, wetlands, nature trails and open space just waiting for your group to explore. Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks, and over 250 other bird species can be found at camp.Youth and adults alike will discover nature like never before! The Conference Center at Camp Snyder is the perfect place to search, discover and share.

Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
