Only remaining electric substation/passenger
station of the Texas Electric Railway built in 1908 and providing
electric rail passenger service between Denison and Waco and Corsicana
until 1948. Original rail car open for tours and also containing only
remaining rail post office of the system. New interactive "O" scale
rail layout depicting the system operation, additional interactives
under design.
Between 1908 and 1948 the Texas Electric Railway ran from Denison to Waco, linking Dallas to smaller cities. Plano's Interurban Statiojn was completed in 1908.
