The Texas A&M Athletic Sports Museum is dedicated to celebrating , preserving and honoring the University's rich athletic heritage by highlighting the many notable accomplishments of varsity teams and individual student athletes, both past and present, through an outstanding array of artwork, memorabilia, photographs, video footage and interactive exhibits. The objectives of the Texas A&M Athletic Sports Museum are:
Inform and educate the public about Texas A&M's varsity sports heritage.
Honor the university's top teams and student athletes that have made their mark in athletic history while at TAMU
Commemorate the historic significance of the university's athletic facilities.
The TAMU Athletic Sports Museum has been in continuous operation since 8/31/01 when the TAMU Lettermen's Association funded a project to conserve and display the memorabilia from the rich athletic heritage of TAMU athletes. The museum was funded entirely by the generous contributions of former TAMU atheletes and then given as a gift to the TAMU athletic department.
