Historical Museum including Genealogy, local historical, artifacts historical landmarks including 1857 Jail, log cabins(1852 and 1845), new large Bass Family building completed in 2007 to hold the artifacts.
The purpose of the Freestone County Historical Museum is to collect, preserve, and interpret for the public benefit, education, and enjoyment, the historical heritage of Freestone County and surrounding areas, while maintaining a 501(c)3 status.
The museum was establised in the Old Jail in 1967. After completion of new building in 2007 the artifacts were transfered to the new area.
