Building was built in 1896 as a general store downstairs with upstairs as offices. One office was a lawyer's office, one a dentist's office, and at one time, one was a doctor's office. The museum has redone with lawyer's office with some of the original furniture. One room has been done as a turn-of-the-century bedroom, one as a kitchen, and one as a schoolroom. Downstairs, the museum has display cases featuring different artifacts of Henderson County. One case has Caddo Indian pottery and arrowheads. The museum also has some dinosaur bones that were found in Henderson County. The museum has a World War I case, a World War II case, and a Civil War case with a 4'x8' Civil War flag. The museum has a general store area and an old barn area. The historical society began work on the building in 1981 when they acquired it.
