The North Texas Society of History and Culture dba Tales 'n' Trails Museum believes that the legacy of the past enhances and enriches the lvies of current and future generations. We strive to preserve and interpret our history through exhibits, programs and archives that will evoke an appreciation of our shared heritage and inspire a vision for our future.
Board formed in 1994, opened doors of new facility in June 2010 with temporary exhibits. Plans for larger permanent exhibit hall and outdoor exhibits underway.
The collections deal with life at the merging of the Great Plains and the Crosstimbers. Collection items cover: Prehistory, Wichita Indians, Early Anglo-European settlers, Chisholm Trail, Farming, Ranching, Leathergoods, Oil & Gas, Railroad
The museum is considering using SNAP.
