The association came into being in the late 1960s. The museum center began with the gift of a house built by Eugene Pillot in 1860. Gradually more buildings were acquired: historic church, 1900 doctor's office, 1869 German immigrant farm house with outbuildings, barn, log house and corn crib, and one-room schoolhouse.
Collection of historic buildings (dates 1857-ca.1920), most from North Harris County
area.
The association has a docent program and provides tours to school classes, scouts, and the
general public. Annual open house the second weekend in December- Evenings
Monthly newsletter, September through May.
