CAM encourages a greater understanding of contemporary art through educational
programs. CAM has developed innovative programs designed to increase the public's
understanding and appreciation of the art of our time. The museum presents a balance of education programs in a variety of formats to appeal to people of different ages, levels of knowledge, and learning styles. CAM uses art history students, scholars, and artists as paid staff in lieu of a docent program. CAM is embarking on a new project, Video Jukebox. This project will allow CAM to produce short videos that address both exhibitions running at the time and broader issues in contemporary art. The videos will enable visitors to explore questions and misconceptions that frequently pose barriers to understanding contemporary art.
