Description

Located in New Windsor, MD, the Strawbridge Shrine was the home of Robert & Elizabeth Strawbridge - who established the first Methodist Societies in the US starting in 1760.

History

The Shrine is open for tours by individuals, groups and classes.

Come, visit the original buildings from the 1760's where Methodism first took root in the New World. An important landmark for history lovers, confirmation classes, and anyone who wants to learn more about the birth of the Methodist Church.
