The MES will continue to grow as a regional teaching resource for all students and faculty in the earth sciences. Expansion of space will be desired.
Opened in January 2007 as a teaching museum for classes in geology at Radford University. It is now a community resource for public and private schools. Nearly 3,000 students per year visit the museum as a supplement to their class instruction.
Collections are of rocks, minerals, gemstones and fossils.
None, MES is a teaching museum, not a research museum.
