Our museum is working toward a goal of opening our third floor of exhibits. As remodeling continues for our new storage nearby, we are designing new and exciting exhibits to use the space that will become available on the third floor. These will provide almost 4500 sq. feet of additional exhibits.
The Miami County Historical Society was formed in 1916 in immediately began collecting the history of our area. The collection was housed in the Miami County Courthouse until 1987 when the collection moved into our present historical building. With collection numbers of over 140,000, we are a large presence in our community, even today.
