We are here to help you gather and preserve historical and genealogical information for you and your family.
How long should I plan to visit? We suggest that you allow 2-3 days for your research trip to Bureau County. This will enable you to visit our society as well as the Courthouse, the Bureau County Historical Society, the Princeton Public Library, and cemeteries if applicable. The amount of available material depends on how long your family was in Bureau County.
Regular meetings of the Society are held on the fourth Thursday evening of each month at the Society's library.
The Society is devoted to the preservation of historical and genealogical records for Bureau County.
"The purpose of the society shall be to encourage the science of genealogy, to help others gather genealogical information, to preserve and publish material of historical and genealogical nature - all for educational purposes. The emphasis will be on Bureau County, but will include other counties, states, and countries."
