Historical Society has restored the one-room schoolhouse called Schmuhl School, located on the corner of Rt. 30 and Schoolhouse Road in New Lenox, Il. Students from the area schools use the building to spend a day in class as students would have done in the 1930's. School is open by appointment.
Schoolhouse is set up as a one-room school building would have been in the 1930's.
Teachers instruct their own class like it was done in the one-room schoolhouses in the early 1900's.
