Description

Family friendly historic village featuring five buildings of historic interest including the Caspar Ott log house (1837) the oldest building in Lake County. Kids enjoy visiting the one-room schoolhouse.

Mission

Dedicated to preserving and interpreting local history and architecture in Deerfield, Bannockburn, Riverwoods and Lincolnshire. Description.History=Founded in 1968, the Deerfield Area Historical Society is an all volunteer, non-profit that created and maintains the Deerfield Historic Village. Through our historic buildings, exhibits, preservation projects and programs, we bring history to life and share it with the community.
