Description

The Quinlan Visual Arts Center is a comprehensive facility for the visual arts. We offer classes and workshops, a gallery with changing exhibitions, and a gift shop representing regional and national artists. A venue that not only features the work of the finest artists in the country, but also offers many continuing education programs in the arts for the benefit of the community.

History

For nearly four decades the Quinlan Visual Arts Center has been an important artistic and cultural hub in northeast Georgia. The facility is located in the heart of the historic Green Street district in charming downtown Gainesville. Recently renovated, the gallery spaces and classroom spaces have nearly doubled in size.

Artifact Collections

Collections of original artwork by local, national and international artists as well as ever changing exhibitions.

Research Collections

Small library, consisting of slides, books, audio and video collections on an array of subjects. All items obtained by donation.

Programs

We offer an array of classes in drawing, painting, ceramics, photography and the decorative arts for adults, teens and children. Workshops with internationally recognized artists occur monthly.
