Welcome to Athens oldest residence. Built in 1820, the Church-Waddel-Brumby House is a fine example of Federal style architecture with period appropriate furnishings and decorative arts.

History

Moved to its current location in 1969 and opened in 1971, the House sparked the historic preservation movement in Athens and the concerned citizens formed the Athens Clarke Heritage Foundation, which still operates the House as a Welcome Center and house museum in conjunction with the Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau.
