The Museum is dedicated to keeping Pender County's history alive. We have a diverse collection of household furnishings, early medical equpment, World War II artifacts, and much more. We are especially proud of our collection of forty one interviews with area World War II veterans. In our annex we have many old timey agricultural tools, a whiskey still, a model of a sawmill as well as several items that we don't even know what they do. Maybe you can tell us!
Pender County Historical Society has been active since the mid 1950's but the Museum has been open since 1980. All of our artifacts have been donated and all of our workers are volunteers. You can be a volunteer too! It's lots of fun.
