Historic Park
Step into the home of John Haley and view the lifestyles of a wealthy late 18th century household. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 1786 Haley House is the oldest structure on its original foundation in High Point.

Hear the sounds of a blacksmith at work in the Blacksmith Shop. Outfitted as it would have been in the years John Haley was a practicing blacksmith, live demonstrations can be seen two weekends per month.

See how early American chores such as weaving, candle dipping, open-hearth cooking and others were done inside the 1801 log Hoggatt House.

Learn how backcountry women used herbs for treating illnesses, dyeing cloth, deodorizing rooms and repelling bugs in our historic Herb Garden.
