The museum depicts 110 years of fire fighting history and displays original equipment used from 1909 to the present including four antique fire engines, volunteer alerting systems, uniforms, and pictures.
The Manassas Volunteer Fire Company has a long and proud history dating back to 1892. The Company membership decided to build and house a Fire Museum based on MVFC's history.
Sadly, when the Company chose to purchase a new HazMat Support Unit, the only room left in the station was the museum. In 2003, the museum was closed and the bay was modified to accommodate the new piece of apparatus. Although the museum artifacts are now in storage, you can still see most of the museum right here.
