The Central Rappahannock Heritage Center, Inc. is the nation's first regional archives dedicated to preserving for research and posterity materials documenting the lives and work of the people.The center is a grass-roots history archive for Fredericksburg and the Counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline and King George.
To provide a repository for historically valuable documents on the Central Rappahannock Region, and a center for the scholarly research thereof.
Founded in 1997 to save the grassroots history of this area.

Founded in 1997 to save the area's grass-roots history; family and business papers, photographs, maps, letters and journals which might be cast aside and lost to future generations. We are a regional archives covering the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford as well as the city of Fredericksburg.
