Museum contains an imposing assembly of arms and artifact chronicling U.S. conflicts from Spanish-American War to Desert Storm and today's war on terror. There are artillery pieces and aircraft on the grounds.
The mission of our museum is to honor our men and women in the Armed Forces of the United States and also those who support our military in significant ways, to pay tribute to and memorialize those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, to educate our children regarding our Country's proud history, and to preserve our heritage and values as reflect in its military history and in the artifacts making up that history
summation-"Honoring those who serve"
The museum was established in 1995 and was added to the Department of State Museum system in 2004.
Uniforms, weapons, flags, training gear, aircraft and vehicles from almost every conflict in American History.
There is an in-house library; at this time it is not cataloged. Special permission may be granted for in-house use for special projects through the director.
An attempt is made to produce an educational hand-out each month. Patricia Hibbard is available to coordinate with educators to construct an educational experience to suit their specific needs.
