A museum of American and European art spanning over four centuries, spotlighting art of the American West by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell. Special traveling exhibits are shown throughout the year.
The museum is situated on a 40 acre landscaped park featuring a water garden and over 13,000 azaleas. The museum was founded in 1946 by Richard W. Norton, Jr., and his mother, Annie M. Norton. It opened to the public in 1966.
Guided tours are available for adult and school groups of 15-45 during regular museum hours. Slide presentations are available to groups on request. Five to six special exhibitions are held during the year. A "Friends of the Museum" mailing list is maintained.
