Albuquerque Center for Peace & Justice
Albuquerque, New Mexico

Culture, General, History

The Peace Center was founded in 1983 by concerned members of the community who felt it was important for groups working on peace and justice issues to have a place to go to share in and support each other's work. Over those two decades of grassroots action, we have built up a significant archive.

We gratefully acknowledge the incredible support the National Hispanic Cultural Center receives from our generous community, on a local, regional and national level. Because of our growth and success it's easy to forget that the Center is still in its infancy, having opened its doors only 10 years ago. And yet last year alone we welcomed over 375,000 visitors to our campus.
