The William J. Marra Museum of Deaf History and Deaf Culture is housed in the building of the Deaf Cultural Center. The museum is filled with interactive displays, captioned videos and artifacts related to being Deaf in America. Included in the exhibits is a demonstration room, Living By the Eye, that showcases visual signaling devices; videos of signed "oral" histories from Deaf community members; and beautiful examples of De'VIA (Deaf View Image Art) by Deaf artists from across the country.

The Kansas Barbed Wire Museum in LaCrosse, Kansas is devoted solely to the history and legend of this part of American history often referred to as the “Devils Rope”. On exhibit are over 2000 barbed wire varieties; including samples manufactured between the years 1870 and 1890. Hundreds of antique fencing tools illustrate the inventiveness of pioneers.

The Alice C. Sabatini Gallery is home to three dynamic galleries and Topeka’s oldest public art collection.

The nucleus of this collection was created when Library board member Edward Wilder purchased a large collection of Art Nouveau glass and ceramics for the Library while on a tour of Europe in 1901. The collection has expanded over the years to include regional paintings and prints, American contemporary ceramics, glass paperweights, West African decorative arts, southwest reliquary woodcarvings and 19th century Chinese decorative arts.

We welcome those who are interested in genealogy, to help in establishing Cavalry connections in that field. We solicit the membership of memorial mounted units or reenactment groups that help keep alive the proud history of the Cavalry. We encourage the membership of equestrians whose interest is in recognizing the Cavalry’s contributions to horsemanship and horsemastership. We welcome cavalrymen of yesteryear and today, to help us keep alive the traditions and spirit of the Cavalry.
