One of the leading university art museums in the country, the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) is a dynamic meeting place for the arts at the heart of a great university. In 2009, UMMA opened a landmark 53,000-square-foot expansion, named the Maxine and Stuart Frankel and the Frankel Family Wing for its lead benefactors, and a major restoration of its 41,000-square-foot Beaux-Arts home, Alumni Memorial Hall.
